Last Minute Decor Options

Don't have time to create unique decorations for the home before your guests arrive? Take some pears and create a letter or design by pushing whole cloves into the fruit. Spell out a message or wish and add it to the dinner/dessert table.

Need a fun/easy option for placecards? Simply take some rosemary sprigs and tie it into a circle. Add a small piece of paper with your guests name on it. NOTE: Be careful not to snap the sprigs (you may have to soak it in water before beginning the craft.)

New Thanksgiving Tradition

Place a piece of candy (or more) on the dinner plate of a guest at this year's Thanksgiving dinner table. However many pieces of candy is the amount of stories (funny or embarrassing) each one has to share before dinner.

Turkey Ticket and Thankful Conversation Starters

I love any craft or unique idea to add to Thanksgiving traditions: give each of your guests a piece of paper - cut to a certain length - and ask them to write what they are thankful for.

The ticket then is cashed in for dinner with the family :)

Reasons Why We Love You...

Is there a milestone birthday coming up for a family member or friend? Try this the next time you're looking for a personalized gift. Ask your family and friends to write a few reasons why they love this special person. Write the the comments (should add up to the number of the milestone birthday) on tags and pin it inside a shadow box. You can also use a jar to hold the messages.

I made the item below using a shadow box purchased from Kohls. I found the tags at a craft store and purchased several more pin with a pearl point to add a vintage look.

Easy Pumpkin Cheese Ball

Want an easy and hassle-free idea for an appetizer? Here's a chance to make the best looking cheese ball on the table:

Simply make your favorite cheese ball recipe (I made it using ranch seasoning and buffalo sauce) and roll it into a ball and refrigerate. Use the stem from a pepper to add the illusion of a pumpkin to your cheese ball. Check out this recipe below:

Gratitude Rolls

Here's a great way to open a beautiful conversation during Thanksgiving dinner -- or any other day of the year. Simply place what you're thankful for on a piece of paper using a food safe marker or pen and place it inside the dough of a crescent roll. (You can also place the piece of paper in aluminum foil.) Bake and enjoy! Each of your guests can open the thankful comment and talk about it at the dinner table.

A great way to begin dinner!

Wi-Fi Decor For Guests

The holiday season is on its way, which means guests will be making their way in and out of your house throughout the next two months. One of the top questions I always hear --- "what's your Wi-Fi password?" You don't often think about what a hassle it it to look behind the router to grab the password. Make it easy with a framed picture with your wifi password to make it easy for your guests. Plus -- everyone will love you.
